How wait time works by ride type.
Wait time starts after the grace period for each type of ride. The calculator below uses these rules exactly.
Instant rides
Grace time: 5 minutes. After that, $1 per minute applies for up to 5 extra minutes.
Cancel possible after 10 total minutes.Accessible rides
Grace time: 10 minutes. After that, $1 per minute applies for up to 5 extra minutes.

Grace time: 60 minutes. After that, $0.50 per minute applies for up to 60 extra minutes.

How does Vukea wait time work for instant rides?
Instant rides include 5 minutes of grace time. After that, Vukea charges $1 for each extra minute up to 5 extra minutes. After 10 total waiting minutes, the driver may cancel the ride. The passenger does not receive a refund, and the wait time charge reaches $5.
How does Vukea wait time work for accessible rides?
Accessible rides include 10 minutes of grace time. After that, Vukea charges $1 for each extra minute up to 5 extra minutes. After 15 total waiting minutes, the driver may cancel the ride, and the passenger loses the full reservation amount plus $5 in wait time.
How does wait time work for airport pickup reservations?
Airport pickup reservations include 60 minutes of grace time. After that, Vukea charges $0.50 for each extra minute up to 60 extra minutes. After 120 total waiting minutes, the driver may cancel the ride and the passenger does not receive a refund.
How does wait time work for reservations outside airports?
Reservations outside airports include 25 minutes of grace time. After that, Vukea charges $0.50 for each extra minute. This calculator does not apply a cancellation threshold for this ride type unless Vukea adds one later.
